The shields are barely any different, the DPS is very similar, in fact, the Mamba has higher DPS potential if you dont use the rails in the Fer-de-Lance very often, and the Mamba is a lot faster. I just threw this build together real quick, but it’s a decent exploration setup, fully engineered with a 42Ly jump range. Here is my current Fer-de-Lance build: And here is the Mamba build I just compiled: I find this quite shocking. Mamba has a few things going for it, though. Coriolis.io is great for testing stuff like this without wasting time and materials in game. Most players prefer the FDL to the Mamba for combat.
